The short version. Guess My Sketch collects no personal information. There is no account to create, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking, and nothing about you or your drawings is sent to us. The app’s App Store privacy label says “Data Not Collected”, and this policy is the detail behind that label.
Your drawings
When you play, the app takes snapshots of your canvas and asks Apple Intelligence what the drawing shows. That analysis happens on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple’s on-device model and Apple’s Vision framework. Your drawings are used only to produce guesses during the run you are playing and to show you the strip of drawings on that run’s results screen. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and they are not saved: when you leave the results screen, they are gone.
Because the analysis runs on the device, the game works without an internet connection, and no connection is used for it.
What stays on your device
The app keeps a few things between launches, all stored only on your device in the app’s own settings: whether sound effects and music are switched on, and which words you have recently been given to draw, for each difficulty, so the same word doesn’t come up again until you have played through a set. Like other app data, they are included in the device backups you choose to make. Deleting the app deletes them.
The app stores no other information: no drawings, no identifiers, and nothing about you.
Shake to roll
On iPhone, you can roll the die after each word by shaking the phone. To notice the shake, the app reads the device’s motion sensors through Apple’s Core Motion framework. That motion data is processed on the device the moment it is read, is used for nothing except detecting the shake, and is never stored or sent anywhere. iOS shows no permission prompt for this kind of motion data because it never leaves the device. You can always tap the die instead, and on iPad tapping is the only way to roll.
Game Center is optional
The game has one Game Center leaderboard, for your best run. Game Center is Apple’s service, and using it is your choice. If you are signed in, at the end of each run the app submits your score, the number of words you drew, with the run’s length in seconds attached as the score’s context, and Apple shows it alongside your Game Center nickname and avatar under Apple’s privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing leaves the device and the game still plays normally.
The app never receives your name, email address, or Apple Account. We can see the public leaderboard entries, as anyone can, and we may remove scores that look fraudulent.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. It shows no advertising, has no in-app purchases, and contains no links out to other apps or stores.
This website
guessmysketch.com is a plain set of pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner asking you to.
The site is served by Google’s Firebase Hosting. As with any web server, Google’s servers receive your IP address and the address of the page you asked for in order to send it to you, and handle that information under Google’s privacy policy. We do not receive visitor-level data from the hosting service.
If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Sharing and selling
We have nothing to share or sell. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app or on this site.
Changes to this policy
If the app or the site ever starts handling information differently, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Changes that matter will also be noted in the app’s release notes on the App Store. The App Store listing always links to the current version of this page.
